Developed in residence at Lake Studios in 2022, awarded to Azzie McCutcheon as part of the ‘Pilot Residenzförderung Tanz’ program funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe.

 

in between deals with the uncanny; the spaces in between un/human, un/familiarity, and un/recognizability. Using interactions of sound, light and the moving body, in between seeks to explore the phenomenon of ‘uncanny valley’ and ‘pareidolia’ through a continually shifting landscape of aural and visual ambiguity.
